Andrew Nevin has had a unique 35-year global career as a thinker and a doer, working at the complex intersection of economics, strategy, capital markets, social enterprise, and investment. He has previously lived in Asia, North America and Europe, and is presently Partner and Chief Economist of PwC Nigeria.

Beyond his work in Nigeria Andrew, a Canadian citizen, is a leader in the development of the emerging concept of Flourishing, and recently published Flourishing in Canada: How to Get the Good Life. The book makes the case for a shift from GDP to Flourishing as a lens for framing public policy. His latest work combines Flourishing with the concept of Brain Capital, an initiative of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to take a broad view of the impact of brain health and brain skills on individuals and societies.

Andrew began his career at McKinsey & Company, serving in the consulting firm’s Toronto and Paris offices. Before joining PwC, he lived and worked in China for 10 years as President of United Family Hospitals, China’s preeminent international hospital chain. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, an M.A. in Philosophy and Politics from Balliol College, University of Oxford, and the B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
